Position Title : Software Development Intern
Location : Coralville, IA (On-Site / Hybrid)
Status : Temporary / Seasonal Internship (Summer 2025)
Dates of Internship : May 12, 2025 – August 15, 2025
Overview :
Leepfrog Technologies, Inc. provides its CourseLeaf software to more than 500 of the nation’s most academically complex colleges and universities to manager their academic catalogs, curriculum, section scheduling, registration, and syllabi management.
The Software Development Intern will have a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, work alongside experienced developers, and contribute to meaningful projects. The ideal candidate will have a combination of a love for software, a passion for education and student success, and demonstrable interpersonal skills.
Duties :
- Assist in completing development tasks as assigned by the manager or team members.
- Follow guidance to take responsibility for assigned work and deliver tasks in a timely manner.
- Develop quality work within provided specifications, following best practices outlined by the development team.
- Participate in team activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other collaborative meetings.
- Work towards team goals under the direction of experienced developers.
- Support resolution of technical issues as directed by the team, contributing to troubleshooting efforts where possible.
- Remain flexible and adaptable to changes in team and project requirements.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Learn and apply coding best practices, focusing on clean and maintainable code using JavaScript.
- Engage in code reviews to receive and apply feedback while gaining a deeper understanding of the team’s codebase.
- With guidance, document code and development processes in alignment with team standards.
