JOB LOCATION: Leer Mining Complex - Grafton, WV
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
Provide, Surveying, Mine Planning, and AutoCAD services to underground mining operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform underground and surface surveying as part of the surveying team
- Prepare and update mine maps and profiles using AutoCAD
- Work with engineers in design of new mine projections and projects
- Interface daily with underground supervisors
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's Degree in Surveying - Qualified experience may be substituted for degree
- Two years of experience in surface and/or underground surveying
- Professional Land Surveyor Registration a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proficient with survey note reduction
- Proficient with setup and operation of total stations and leveling equipment
- Proficient with setup and operation of Trimble GPS and data collection equipment
- Solid knowledge and experience of surveying fundamentals, calculations, and note taking techniques
- WV Underground Experienced Miner Certification Required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills required

Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
