Head Coach – Dance Team - LSWHS

2025-26 School Year

Description: The head coach is responsible for planning, managing and directing the high school Dance team program. Specific shall include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Coaching the varsity dance team.
• Coordinating with administration to hire assistant coaches
• Directing and supervising assistant dance coaches
• Managing all aspects of the program including practicing, competing, providing off-season improvement opportunities to include strength and conditioning and full usage of contact days
• Marketing and promoting the dance program.
• Coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes
• Scouting opponents.
• Managing a fiscally sound budget
• Monitoring class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress, and intervening where appropriate.
• Responsible for dance student-athlete retention
• Articulation with the feeder middle school program
• Providing summer camp opportunities for elementary and/or middle school students
