Title: Head Women’s Flag Football Coach / Coordinator of Summer Camps Department: AthleticsReports to: Director of Athletics and Club Sports Category: Full-time, 12-month Summary/ObjectiveReporting to the Director of Athletics and Club Sports, the Head Women’s Flag Football Coach is responsible for all aspects of an elite-level NCAA Division II program. This is a new position for a team that will begin competition in 2025-26. This requires the promotion of academic achievement and character of the student-athlete, fans, and the overall College community. The Head Women’s Flag Football Coach will be responsible for recruiting, budget management, athlete development, and all aspects of the women’s flag football program pertaining to the rules of Lees-McRae College, Conference Carolinas, and NCAA Division II. A focus on recruitment and retention of student-athletes, game preparation, player development, generation of net tuition revenue, and meticulous budget management are essential for this position. The position also is responsible for coordination of all summer camps for the athletic department. This includes working with coaches, athletic training staff, conference services, marketing, dining services, and other departments to ensure a quality experience for all participants. Essential FunctionsOversee all day-to-day operations which includes preparation, organization and implementation of effective practice schedules, off-season programs and in-season competition.Evaluation and recruitment of elite prospective student-athletes.Training and development of all student-athletes.Monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress and growth as a person.Individual workouts, conditioning, and strength training with team members.Game day meal planning and organization.Travel coordination for away games. Investment in the lives and growth of student-athletesCoordinate and direct single-day ID Camps and week-long summer camps.Work with coaches to select dates and times for all summer camps.Work with marketing, dining services, athletic training, conference services, and other pertinent campus offices to promote quality camp experiences.Other administrative duties as assigned.
