Position Overview:
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Leeward Renewable Energy’s digital infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager Cybersecurity, this role is responsible for implementing and managing security measures that protect the organization from evolving cyber threats. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise and strategic thinking to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector.

Reporting to the Manager Cybersecurity, this role is responsible for implementing and managing security measures that protect the organization from evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and access control mechanisms.
- Ensure adherence to relevant security regulations and industry standards, including NERC CIP compliance and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential cyberattacks, leveraging advanced threat detection tools.
- Investigate and contain security breaches, perform malware analysis, and execute digital forensic processes when required.
- Conduct regular assessments of systems and networks to identify potential weaknesses and proactively mitigate risks.
- Collaborate on the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and best practices across the organization.
- Analyze system and security logs to identify anomalies and detect potential breaches.
- Identify and respond to unauthorized access attempts, ensuring the integrity of systems and networks.
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices to minimize human error risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security tools.
- Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and potential threats.
- Adept at troubleshooting security incidents and implementing solutions to reduce risks.
- Ability to articulate security concerns clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Meticulous in reviewing logs and data to detect subtle anomalies.
- Eagerness to stay informed about emerging cyber threats and evolving security technologies.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security .
- Experience in the energy sector or similar critical infrastructure environment.
