LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) is a high-growth renewable energy company forging a sustainable future through integrity, innovation, and positive impact. We own and operate 30 large wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States, totaling over 3 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity.
LRE has an ambitious goal of 10GW of operating assets by 2028 and are developing and contracting an increasing pipeline of new projects every year. Job Summary:
The Operations Specialist manages asset onboarding for daily Energy Services operations, supports the Market Readiness team in commercialization, and integrates new assets into the Adapt2 Bid to Bill and ETRM system. They handle ISO interactions post-commercialization, ensure ISO metering and telecommunication requirements are met, and prepare the Adapt2 system for asset scheduling, settlement, and commercialization. The Specialist coordinates with Settlements, Trading, IT, and Compliance teams, aligning with LRE’s construction and startup schedules. They also oversee scheduling and management of LRE's PJM capacity, CAISO RA attributes, and RECs, ensuring assets meet PJM Capacity system requirements and auction schedules while optimizing credit positions.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the onboarding and incorporation of new assets in the LRE Adapt2 infrastructure (templates, configuration) and ensure that all needed functionality is delivered in an efficient and timely manner.
- Support Market Readiness team with market registration, implementation, and reporting activities for new and existing LRE assets across all ISO/RTO regions. Coordinate with Market /Operations Readiness and Compliance teams to identify and manage progress of EPC schedule and ISO/RTO registration/operational milestones (back-feed, test requirements, etc.) in order to efficiently integrate new assets into the LRE ES operations. (Adapt2 and processes)
- Support the Market Readiness team with the ISO asset registration process permitting for transition to commercial operation.
- Support Market Readiness and Compliance teams with registration of LRE ES as a Market Participant, Scheduling Coordinator and QSE certification in the ISOs to ensure market readiness of LRE assets and Energy Services.
- Manage REC, Resource Adequacy and Capacity market programs (annual verifications/auctions/allocations, coordination with Off-takers, monthly submissions, deliveries).
- Manage post operational market activities with ISO’s/RTO’s.
- Manage all relationships with The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
- Manage the Adapt2 infrastructure and relationship ensuring that the platform is always up to date, and that maximum up time is achieved.
- Work with LRE IT to develop Adapt2 support and IT plans for Energy Services.
- Manage the need for configuration updates in Adapt2 system as needed. (Internal developer or Third-party vendor)
- Execute monthly redirects of transmission.
- Manage transmission service renewal process.
- Track new submission and scheduling requirements for generation resources within the ISOs.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience with ISO operations
- Experience with managing IT infrastructure.
- Strong entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
- Ability to understand and work with EPC schedules.
- Strong background with of ISO, NERC and FERC regulatory and operational requirements.
- Experience with commercialization of assets.
- Ability to analyze and organize data to drive solutions and action plans.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple information requests.
- Ability to meet deadlines and organize workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or STEM.
- Proficient with Excel, Power Point and Word
- Proficient with SQL.
