Job Description
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our wind farm sites, including supervision of employees and contractors in maintaining turbines and performing balance of plant equipment operations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of project financials and be able to perform cost-benefit analysis proposals to support site operation improvements. Additionally, they will ensure a safe work environment, serve as the primary interface with local landowners, and participate in daily preparation for manpower, special projects, and maintenance of the site and all related equipment.
Responsibilities
• Operate the site in a manner that promotes the highest levels of safety, compliance, and productivity
• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with Company Policies, Project Agreements, and applicable laws
• Coordinate logistics and activities for turbine and field repairs, maintenance, and other work required
• Participate in daily preparation for manpower, special projects, and maintenance of the site and all related equipment
• Ensure a safe work environment and serve as the primary interface with local landowners
• Supervise employees and contractors in maintaining turbines and performing balance of plant equipment operations
• Perform cost-benefit analysis proposals to support site operation improvements
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience and a safety mindset, with the ability to ensure a safe working environment for those employed at the plant. A mechanical or electrical engineering degree is a plus, as is proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software applications.
