Senior Audit Consultant (Fixed Assets) – TS / SCI Clearance Required Location Washington, DCJob Description Leffler Consulting is seeking a Senior Audit Consultant (Fixed Assets) to join our team in Washington, DC. The candidate will be primarily responsible for managing the existence, completeness, and valuation of a multi-billion dollar portfolio of fixed assets. Tasks include traveling to contractor and government sites to analyze procurement contracts, training property custodians on fixed asset laws & regulations, and maintaining a listing of all fixed assets for financial reporting requirements. The candidate will assist with audit risk management, internal controls development, remediation strategy development, and responding to IPA requests. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Position requires significant travel.Duties Provide targeted fixed asset contract evaluation support to various field activities and contractor sites in the CONUS.Demonstrate an understanding of DoD property accountability and financial reporting in areas, including Construction-in-Progress, Real Property, General Equipment, and Internal-Use-Software.Perform existence, completeness, and valuation audits on fixed asset listings at field activities and contractor sites and document findings.Apply federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge / expertise when developing fixed asset related course of action and recommendations to the client.Analyze field activity asset management processes to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities.Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff.Develop and perform briefings for Government Program Management.Skill Set : Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail, well organized, and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities.Required Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting, acquisitions, finance, or other business-related field.Required Experience Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in supporting DoD acquisitions, financial management, and fixed assets.Knowledge of federal accounting and auditing standards and guidance in relation to : - Defense Property Accountability- DoDI (Instruction)- Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)- Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy- FIAR Guidance#J-18808-Ljbffr
