Overview
The Order Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely release of customer orders. This position requires attention to detail, basic Excel proficiency, and familiarity with the Sage system. The primary responsibilities are centered around reviewing and releasing sales orders throughout the day while ensuring all necessary details are accurate.
Responsibilities
- Order Management: Review and release sales orders efficiently using both Excel and Sage software including tracking and managing order information.
- Data entry: Conduct thorough checks on each sales order to verify that all necessary details, such as product finish and images, are correctly listed and aligned with customer requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or missing information on orders before processing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and production teams to ensure smooth and timely order processing, preventing any delays in release.
- Record keeping: Maintaining organized records of all order transactions and communications on Doclink.
- Efficiency: Striving to meet deadlines and turnaround times and contributing ideas for process improvements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, filtering).
- Familiarity with Sage or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in order information.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High level of proficiency in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in data entry
- Experience taking initiative and maintaining accuracy in all job-related activities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
