Leg Pain Clinic, is seeking a Front Office Medical Assistant for our Clinic / Surgery Center off of 1960 and 290. This position is responsible for medical administrative tasks such as insurance verifications, prior authorization handling, and appointment scheduling. This position will also assist with back-office duties such as vital signs and patient intake, as needed. It provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services and also conveys a positive and professional image of Leg Pain Clinic.
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Must be presentable.
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing accurate information about the center’s services.
- Insurance preauthorization, verify patient information, including insurance details, and update medical records, taking payments.
- Assist with patient intake forms and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Manage patient flow, ensuring timely check-ins and follow-ups.
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for medical exams, procedures, and surgeries, including taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.).
- Assist physicians and surgical staff during clinical procedures, providing hands-on support as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications or injections under physician supervision.
- Prep medical instruments, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Prepare and maintain patient charts, documenting all relevant medical information accurately.
- Opportunity to learn about and take part in Interventional Radiology Procedures if interested.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Prior experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a surgical setting.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Proficient in basic office software and eClinical Works electronic medical record.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and surgical procedures.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
