At CESO, an Electrical Project Engineer II is proficient at performing a standard engineering design technical assignments for small to large projects, completing all tasks on a project on time, on budget, and consistently within industry standards. You will have primary responsibilities that include:
\n- Responsible for project and program designs, concepts, and standards under the supervision of the Engineer of Record from concept through completion
- Perform calculations and design engineering systems in collaboration with internal staff
- Prepare advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules
- Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for conformance to plan documents and project specifications
- Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs for projects as directed
- Apply local, state, and federal regulations
- Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into the project designs
- Visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress
- Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
- Support engineers and project managers in daily planning, coordination, and completion of projects
- Review work for technical accuracy and completeness prior to QA / QC review
- Maintains a proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations
- Attend internal and external meetings
- Other project duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and 7 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering license (PE) required
- Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board required
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software as required
