Responsibilities
- Provide a FUN, engaging, and atmosphere for after-school students utilizing consistency, callbacks, and classroom control.
- Conduct activities for children in STEM, arts & crafts, and active time as outlined by the after school director.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Incorporate special education strategies to support students with diverse needs.
- Communicate with parents to support student growth and well-being.
Legacy After School program is now hiring coaches, teachers, and counselors who can direct and lead our after school and summer camp programs that teach one or more of the following activities:
-P.E. type activities & games (like Dodgeball and sports)
-Arts/Crafts
-K-5th grade educational activities
-Homework/Tutoring
To qualify for our amazing team, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must have a clean criminal background and pass a background screening.
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude for success!
- Must be energetic, coachable, and passionate about helping children.
- Available from the hours of 1:45p - 6:30p Monday - Friday.
- Willing to commute to a minimum of 1 other location in the Midlands (Columbia, Irmo, Lexington, Northeast Columbia, Red Bank)
- Willing to transport students from their elementary school at dismissal to the facility (training provided).
- Must have access to a smart phone or computer for regular email communication.
This awesome job will be 20-30 hours per week. After School hours are generally from around 1:30p to 6:30p Monday - Friday. We also have several opportunities each year to earn commission and bonuses! And full-time for those that are the right fit. Pay is commensurate upon experience. There's 5 locations across the Midlands, and opportunities are available at various locations.
