Full-Time, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Flexible Schedule!

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Legacy at College Hill, you will:
- Provide direct care to residents according to individualized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by physicians or supervisors.
- Monitor residents’ health status, including vital signs, physical condition, and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure high-quality care.
- Document all observations, interventions, and changes in residents' conditions in the electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Respond to emergencies and medical situations promptly and efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor nursing assistants and other support staff.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing, updating, and reviewing care plans to meet residents’ evolving needs.
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Education Requirements:
- Current LPN license in the state of Kansas (or eligible to obtain).
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained upon hire)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach.
- Ability to assist in the transfer and repositioning of residents.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and assist in evacuations if needed.
- Good manual dexterity for handling medical equipment, medications, and documents.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and noisy settings.
