Insurance enrollment within first 60-days

The Business Office Manager manages all business office functions including but not limited to Private Pay billing and collections and Hospice billing and collections. The Business Office Manager ensures the financial systems are accurate, efficient and in accordance with professional accounting practices, company polices and government regulations.
- Handles resident billing and collection per prescribed procedures.
- Records and balances facility census information daily.
- Attends all facility-required meetings.
- Is familiar with insurance coverage on residents in order to ensure payment for services provided.
- Handles Resident Trust Fund duties as assigned.
- Relates knowledgeable information regarding admission requirements.
- Is familiar with the admission folder and admission procedure for new admissions.
- Communicates with all parties as needed regarding status of Medicaid pending and Medicaid unable to bill cases.
- Enters pertinent information regarding new residents and changes in resident information into the AR system.
- Provides requested information to Consolidated Billing office and third-party billing office.
- Has working knowledge of all office procedures and systems.
- Answers the telephone as needed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
- Must have some accounting experience.
- Must have computer skills. Microsoft Office, Excel and Word experience preferred.
- Must be able to type and use other office equipment.
- Will receive on-the-job training regarding proper handling of administrative matters according to formulated policies.
- Has ability to work well with the general public.
- Has ability to meet and deal with a variety of employees, residents and responsible parties.
- Considerable initiative and judgment is needed in promoting favorable public relations.
- Must be sociable, courteous and have a memory for details.
- Must have a pre-employment and an annual Tuberculosis screening examination.
