Job Description:
Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking a Programmer to work in Valdosta, Georgia. The Programmer works under the general supervision of the IT Director, this individual will code, maintain, and support existing .NET and EMR applications. This candidate must maintain multiple projects under IT ticketing system. The majority of coding will consist of support and enhancements to the existing code base. This candidate will also maintain, support, and enhance several SQL server databases. This individual will work closely with AVATAR and other vendors to improve application effectiveness and proficiency. Provides train-the-trainer programs on new products or for new trainers and provides continued support to the training process. May provide assistance in reporting information and supervises support staff.

This position requires:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology required.
2 years of experience in programming; required
Demonstrated competencies needed to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.
Comprehensive knowledge of personal computer (PC) and software
Experience with AVATAR (Electronic Medical Record), preferred
SQL database administration, required
Ability to build and generate reports, as requested
Possession and application of skills in oral communication, problem solving and decision-making
Highly developed competencies in customer service and interpersonal skills
Possession of a strong desire to learn and be flexible with regard to new technology and methodology
A current driver’s license is required, with no more than 6 points

Physical Demands
Sit, walk, and stand: may spend up to twenty-five percent of working time standing/walking.
