Legacy Caregivers provides home and community-based waiver services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our mission is take every individual (clients and staff alike) we encounter from good to great.
With an influx of total care clients, we are seeking home health aides in Stark County to provide services to our clients of whom are more medically inclined.
Please keep in mind that this is not your traditional home health aide job, we serve the intellectual and developmental disabilities populations, who’s ages range from 16 to 60 years old. We would like to find candidates who have traditional home health aide training and experience, but that can learn the nuances of the DD field.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Home Health Aides/Direct Support Professionals (HHA/DSP) are the lifeblood of our agency. To be a Legacy HHA/DSP means exuding the highest level of professionalism and compassion as you interact and meet the needs of the clients we serve.
The clients we serve need general assistance in daily living and maximization of human potential. That includes meal prep and feeding, bathing and toileting, hygiene, housekeeping, transportation and more. Our agency has a hands on management team that is there to train and support you initially and on an ongoing basis so that you can assist your client to the best of your ability.
