At Legacy.com, the IT Systems Administrator is a critical member of the IT team, responsible for ensuring seamless technology operations while driving efficiency through automation and process optimization. This role not only supports Legacy employees by providing courteous and timely assistance for computer, software, and networking issues, but also proactively identifies and implements solutions to automate repetitive and manual tasks, elevating the overall productivity of the organization.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for automation to reduce reliance on manual intervention, streamline workflows, and improve the user experience.


Responsibilities

· Troubleshoot and maintain Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows computers, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and peripherals.

· Identify opportunities for automation to simplify routine tasks, such as user onboarding/offboarding, password resets, and device management, using tools like PowerShell, Python, or native automation features within enterprise tools.

· User Access Management: Assist users with passwords, account lockouts, multi-factor authentication, credential managers (e.g., Keeper), and provision users in identity management systems such as Okta or Active Directory.

· Maintain and ensure functionality of AV systems and conference room technology (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx).

· Manage communication, ticketing, documentation, and file systems such as Confluence, Jira, Trello, OneDrive, SharePoint, Slack, and Zoom.

· Help employees identify phishing emails, manage spam, and investigate and remediate undelivered emails.

· Administer and test backup systems (e.g., Barracuda), make recommendations to enhance disaster recovery, and implement automated backup validation to ensure data integrity and availability.

· Lead and manage IT projects, including hardware and software deployments, upgrades, and migrations. Develop project plans, work with cross-functional IT teams, and incorporate automation to minimize manual intervention.

· Collaborate with other IT stakeholders to implement self-service IT solutions, such as automated account provisioning, password resets, and software installations.


Requirements

• Strong Microsoft 365 admin center skills and experience, including security and compliance.

• Familiarity with a wide range of applications and file formats (e.g., Adobe, Office, .zip, .csv, .pdf).

• Experience managing MDM solutions such as Intune and Autopilot, Kandji, or Jamf, including policy creation and automation scripting for device management.

• Fundamental understanding of wired and wireless networking, including switches, routers, firewalls, and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.

• Solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP, VPNs, and Remote Desktop.

• Experience managing corporate endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Sophos, SentinelOne) with a strong understanding of security best practices.

• Exposure to virtualization, databases, hard drive encryption, monitoring systems, and cloud infrastructures such as Azure or AWS.

• Ability to leverage scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency across IT workflows.

• Experience implementing and optimizing automation in enterprise environments.

• Strong communication and documentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to train end-users on self-service IT tools and processes.


Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in IT systems administration or 2 years of experience combined with relevant certifications such as A , Network , Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert or Fundamentals, Okta, Apple Device Support, or Google Workspace Administrator.

Final compensation is determined based on a variety of factors such as experience, education, certifications and geographic location.
