Legacy Community Health, The Largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Texas Seeks Outpatient Infectious Disease Physicians in Houston.
The Infectious Disease Physician will be working in outpatient clinics in medically underserved communities to provide clinical care to adults, focusing on infectious diseases. The Physician will provide infectious disease specialty care services in addition to general primary care.
Although primarily focused on Infectious Disease, The Physician will also manage and treat common health problems and complex illnesses and disorders. The Infectious Disease Physician also develops and updates clinical guidelines for Legacy Community Health regarding HIV, Hepatitis C, Chronic Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, PrEP, PEP, doxyPEP, and other infectious diseases. The Physician will also be responsible for providing supervision of advanced practice providers and mentor students, providing expert consults and assistance across other service lines when needed, reporting certain diseases and collaborating with other public health organizations and performing other duties as assigned.
