About the Position
The Revenue Cycle Management Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Billing and/or Collection specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and/or creating patient accounts within medical software program. Assesses accuracy of demographic and policy information within patient accounts. Photocopies patients' identification and/or insurance cards as appropriate.
- Responsible for charge and payment entry within medical software program. Coordinates and clarifies with providers when necessary, information that seems incomplete or is lacking for proper account/claim adjudication.
- Supervise daily operations of the Billing and/or Collection teams.
- Development, training and monitoring of staff for successful performance
- Function as liaison to operations - front line staff- for the purpose of training updates required to establish or maintain best practices in regards to areas that impact revenue cycle.
- Establishes, evaluates, maintains and implements processing guidelines to ensure accurate coding by providers.
- Identities opportunities for the development of established guidelines to maintain proper coding and enhance revenue.
- Handles complex procedures within the revenue cycle including. but not limited to, coding, collections and postings
- Ability to independently identify areas of concern regarding the various areas of the revenue cycle.
- Analyzes trends and issues: proposes solutions and work with management team to determine appropriate action to resolve.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years· experience working with revenue cycles, billing/collections required.
- Experience with EMR required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of CPT ICD9 codes
