We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for quality service and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Operate a delivery van vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of products.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist in operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local areas is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks related to moving goods.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
