Solutions Engineer
Location: New York City (Remote, Hybrid or On-site)
Our client is a high-growth financial services software company seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its dynamic pre-sales organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to play a key part in helping financial institutions solve complex identity, fraud, and compliance challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Solutions Engineer (similar to a Sales Engineer or Solutions Consultant), you’ll work hand-in-hand with an Account Executive to close new business opportunities. While the AE manages the overall relationship and business strategy, you’ll engage directly with technical stakeholders to overcome any technical roadblocks. This includes:
- Delivering tailored demos and walkthroughs
- Designing and executing proof of concept environments
- Leading architecture and security discussions
- Scoping and proposing solutions
- Collaborating with implementation teams to ensure a smooth handoff
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience in a Solutions Engineering or similar role, supporting technical products in complex enterprise sales cycles
- Familiarity with identity and fraud topics in the fintech or banking space
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Skilled at asking thoughtful questions and listening closely to customer needs
- Comfortable serving as a connector between sales, product, engineering, and professional services
- Able to thrive in ambiguity while maintaining high integrity
- Experience with API-driven platforms
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages
Bonus: Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
