Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Manage medical documentation accurately, including patient records and treatment plans.
• Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain infection control standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
• Utilize dental software systems such as Epic for scheduling and record management.

Skills

• Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and X-ray procedures.
• Understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dentistry.
• Experience in assisting during various dental procedures effectively.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus.
• Competence in using dental clinic software, particularly Epic, for efficient operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
