Maintenance Supervisor

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

· Minimize down time and help maximize thru put in production

· Control labor effectiveness and cost

· Accounting for expenditures and budget. Purchasing materials

· Must work closely with managers and management

· Applicable supervisory responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching employees, planning, assigning and directing work, reviewing performance, appraising/disciplining employees when necessary, addressing complaints and questions and resolving problems

· Must be available for flexible hours, overtime and weekends

· Update VMS boards monthly

· Manage weekly time keeping

· Be able to use PO system

· Help supervise PM scheduling and implementation of repairs

· Be able to show by example of knowledge of jobs and responsibilities

Education & Experience:

· 3-4 years’ experience/training in line maintenance and/or supervision

· Knowledge in the fruit industry

Pre-Employment Requirements:

· Drug test & background check required

Certificates & Licenses:

· First Aid Card

Equipment/Technology Skills:

· Working knowledge of: word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software

· Ability to frequently use power and hand tools, welder, grinders, punches, etc.

· Experience with fruit industry equipment including: tapers, strappers and sizers

· General knowledge of fluid power systems (pneumatics, hydraulics)

Physical Abilities:

· Ability to frequently perform various activities that require; sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing objects, climbing, grasp & reach

· Ability to speak clearly & communicate with others.

· Must have good vision, smell and hearing

· Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet accurately and handle precise movements

· Ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. from floor/ shoulder level

· Ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment; ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks; ability to change approach or method to best fit the situation

Workplace Environmental Conditions:

· Ability to tolerate potential harsh weather conditions for short or long periods of time

· Exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at a level sufficient to cause hearing loss or fatigue

· Injury exposure to workplace hazards, warehousing machinery

· Regularly exposed to wet and dirty conditions outside and in warehouse

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $77,000.00 per year
