Job Purpose :

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full cycle recruitment. The TA Specialist will source, screen, recommend, and onboard candidates for positions. The TA specialist will be responsible for identifying opportunities to build applicant pools, establish partnerships with the management team, identify talent through effective interviewing and screening, and ensure a positive new hire onboarding experience.

  • Possesses Good Judgement -Ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Analytical Skills- Ability to interpret market research, internal and external feedback, and reporting to make recommendations to improve the recruiting process.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources, partner with hiring managers and senior leadership on position descriptions, requisition creation, and compensation.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Evaluate effectiveness of current recruiting methods.
  • Continuously develop networks / partnerships to actively build database / pipeline of candidates and the company brand.
  • Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume and phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates.
  • Arrange pre-employment drug testing, background & references screenings.
  • Represent the company at recruiting events.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote referral program and internal opportunities.
  • Create offer letters, maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as needed.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding, ensuring process is engaging and that processes are accurately implemented.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or SHRM-CP / PHR required.
  • One year of Talent Acquisition or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • ADP experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience utilizing tools such as LinkedIn as pertains to sourcing of talent.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
