Summary: Reliable and driven “experienced” Scaffold Builder Team Leader can enter a career with Legacy Group Holdings, LLC as a Scaffold Builder Team Leader depending on an evaluation from our Training Team and acquiring additional training as needed. You will supervise and be responsible the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures and be responsible for everything that your team does or fails to do. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. 
 
  • Determine type of scaffold needed.
  • Inspect job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
  • Effectively communicate safety hazards and mitigate avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
  • Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold to the dimensions required.
  • Hoist scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
  • Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
  • Properly secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, site specific and Legacy Group requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
  • Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
  • Dismantle scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
  • Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
  • Willingness to travel for assignments lasting from a few days to several months.
Responsibilities - Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Legacy Group’s policies & procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities - Directly supervises scaffold builders and scaffold builder helpers. Deals directly with our customers on jobsites and notifies our operations and safety team of any issues that arise. Responsible for time sheets getting signed and submitted reflecting actual hours worked, vans, fuel cards, and hotel issues being resolved. Ensures all transportation, lodging, per diem and report times and safety rules are complied with. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legacy Group’s policies & procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities may also include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
 
Note - It will be necessary to travel or commute for this position.
 
Qualifications - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
 
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
 
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Depending on the job site, certain certificates or licenses may be required. Must complete Legacy Group’s Team Leader Training.
 
Other Skills and Abilities - For safety reasons, it is imperative that the employee be able to read and speak English.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in day or night, hot or cold, and above or below ground level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

COMPENSATION
Starting salary: $14.00/Hour
Overtime: After 40 Hours
Per-diem: $25.00
Lodging provided
Transportation provided from office to assignment.
