General Counsel Legacy Health Services

Position Summary The General Counsel leads strategic growth and provides legal advice, focusing on corporate matters.   Essential Functions Advise on legal and business issues. Lead risk management for all entities within the business. Train and educate staff on legal and risk management practices. Manage litigation and work with outside counsel. Draft and review legal documents. Develop policies and procedures, including those related to safety, communication, and support. Assist with legal matters to reduce outside attorney expense. Negotiate settlements and vendor agreements. Monitor corporate compliance and insurance. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned, including those related to all areas within the business operation.   Qualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) degree with an active Ohio law license or eligibility to join the Ohio bar. 3-5 years' experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience in corporate finance and administration. Experience with nursing home operations is preferred.   Why Join Legacy Health Services?
