Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Specialist - Patient Care to join our team at Legacy Health. As a First Assist Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care during surgical procedures. Your attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to upholding the Legacy Health mission make you an ideal candidate for this position.
Your primary responsibilities will include functioning as a first assistant during surgical incision, excision, and repair of pathology, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure the smooth operation of procedures. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with other members of the surgical team, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of a military training program for surgical technologists, or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as Surgical Technologist or certification within 12 months of graduation from Surg Tech program.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
