We are seeking to add an experienced Regional Nurse Consultant to our collaborative team! This position may support up to four (4) skilled nursing facilities in the Eastern region of South Dakota.
Job Description for Regional Nurse Consultant:
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of South Dakota (or compact state license)
Bachelor's degree in nursing; Specific training in gerontological nursing preferred
Position Requirements
Prior Director of Nursing experience gained in Skilled Nursing facilities - Required.
Multi-Site Experience- Preferred
Previous Regional Nurse Consultant experience - Preferred
Travel- 80 %

Job Description for Regional Nurse Consultant:
- Collaborates with VP of Clinical Services, VP of Operations, Administrators, and Directors of Nursing within the assigned region.
- Ensures continuity of nursing services across all assigned facilities.
- Identifies and monitors facilities with the greatest need for quality and regulatory intervention.
- Leads facilities and regional operations personnel, associated clinical services staff; and interdisciplinary resources through proactive and reactive quality interventions to improve care delivery, customer satisfaction, and survey results minimizing financial penalties, limitations on admission and litigation opportunities.
- Works through local/state/federal agencies, company, and external resources to facilitate clinical competency. Ensures compliance with current industry standards and best practice guidelines.
- Fosters nursing leadership support network.
- Pilots and replicates promising practices.
- Spreads performance improvement initiatives.
- Implements policies and procedures for Nursing Departments in assigned facilities.
