What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager, Finance position at Legacy Healthcare?
We are seeking an Operations Manager, Finance to support multiple long-term care facilities in Iowa. This position addresses the day-to-day analytical and planning needs of the Iowa region as well as participating in broader long-term projects. This position is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial regulations.
What You Will Do:
- Act as a trusted resource for the SVP, Operations – Iowa in the generation and interpretation of financial results.
- Guide operational staff (VPO’s, Administrators) in the management of financial performance for the region.
- Assume the role of principal liaison to the overall corporate Legacy finance function.
- Maintain and produce daily, monthly, quarterly and annual internal reporting and supporting data sets as required.
- Perform ad hoc analyses at the direction of management and the operating units.
- Aid the annual budget process.
- Develop new analytic datasets (KPI’s, benchmarks, etc.) where appropriate.
- Assist in the adoption and penetration of new tools across the region.
- Aid in the development and production of proposals and presentations.
- Long-term projects as assigned
The Successful Candidate Will Possess:
- Minimum of five years of relevant full-time work experience in finance or accounting (healthcare experience preferred but not required) with exposure to financial reporting, analysis and budgeting
- Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) with demonstrated coursework in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or related subjects (or analytical work experience in lieu of such coursework)
- Preferred experience in healthcare operations
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills including experience in financial modeling and analysis
- Knowledge of various data mining techniques to generate business insight including:
- Required: Intermediate Excel Skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, etc.)
- Preferred: Advanced Excel skills (macros, VBA) and other reporting/database tool experience (Datarails, PowerBI, SQL, etc.)
