What are the responsibilities and job description for the Complaint Coordinator position at Legacy Home Health Agency?
The Complaint Coordinator manages activities and procedures associated with complaints for a home health agency in reporting and investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The coordinator is responsible for facilitating all complaints, incidents, and nonconformities and reporting adverse acts to the appropriate state and federal entities for regulatory submissions. The coordinator will also execute and supervise corrective and preventative actions taken.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field,
- Minimum of two years of quality assurance experience in a related industry, or Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a related industry.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Background in Social Work
Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with all state, local, governmental, and federal regulations as applicable to agency programs and services.
- Monitor performance for compliance with agency needs and requirements, including follow-up.
- Maintain systems to monitor and facilitate the timely investigations and close out of complaints.
- Write, maintain, and submit nonconformance, incident, and complaint reports while submitting Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports and facilitate all activities associated with the accurate and timely completion of these reports and documents.
- Follow up with all reported incidents and complaints and notifies scheduling when a face-to-face visit is needed.
- Maintain and completes all monthly complaint logs for administration review.
- Maintain databases for all non-conformities, CAPAs, deviations, complaints, and incidents.
- Reports all Agency complaints for all programs to the appropriate state and federal entities to meet mandated agency timeframes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
