Position Overview :
The Home Health Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals, such as nurses, home health aides (HHAs), personal care aides (PCAs), and therapists, to work in a home health care setting. The role ensures that the home health agency can meet the staffing needs of clients requiring in-home care by recruiting highly skilled professionals who meet the organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment and Sourcing :
Actively source and recruit qualified healthcare professionals (RNs, LPNs, HHAs, CNAs, physical therapists, etc.) to work with home health clients.
Use multiple recruitment channels such as online job boards, social media platforms, staffing agencies, and networking events to find candidates.
Maintain and build a strong network of potential candidates through industry-specific connections, referrals, and partnerships with nursing schools or health care organizations.
Screening and Interviewing :
Review resumes and applications, screening candidates for qualifications, licenses, certifications, and relevant experience.
Conduct initial phone and interviews to assess candidates' skills, professionalism, and suitability for home health positions.
Evaluate candidates' knowledge of patient care in home settings, ensuring they have the required clinical skills and understanding of the home care environment.
Collaboration with Hiring Managers and Leadership :
Partner with hiring managers, home health agency leadership, and clinical teams to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
Advise managers on trends and challenges in the recruitment process, helping them to refine job descriptions and hiring strategies.
Ensure that all recruited candidates meet the agency’s quality standards and comply with healthcare industry regulations.
Compliance and Documentation :
Ensure all recruits meet state and federal licensing requirements and any specific certifications needed to work in home health care (e.g., CPR, first aid, etc.).
Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, including candidate evaluations, interviews, and offers made.
Manage the background screening process, including criminal history and references, in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
Candidate Onboarding :
Oversee and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they complete necessary documentation and orientation.
Facilitate the introduction of new hires to the organization’s policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
Provide new hires with the resources and training they need to succeed in a home health care setting.
Market and Industry Knowledge :
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to home health care recruitment.

Qualifications :
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
