IT Support Specialist
Location: Daphne, AL Department: Operations
We are seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist to join our Accounting/IT department and support our organization's technology infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will be responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, managing user accounts (including Active Directory and Office 365 setups), maintaining IT asset inventories, and coordinating with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active Directory/O365 User Setup:
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory.
- Ensure users have correct account permissions by collaborating with SSVA (third-party IT vendor).
- Maintain compliance with access and security protocols.
- Tier 1/Tier 2 Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user technical issues efficiently.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher support tiers or specialized teams as necessary.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Ensure proper allocation and compliance with organizational standards.
- IT Contracts with Utility Providers:
- Manage relationships with utility and service providers.
- Negotiate, renew, and maintain IT service agreements to ensure cost-effective operations.
- System Updates and Maintenance:
- Perform regular system updates and routine maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and security standards.
- Collaboration with IT Vendors:
- Work closely with external vendors to ensure proper system functionality.
- Coordinate efforts for system enhancements and issue resolution.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in IT or a related field preferred.
- Microsoft Certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 1 years in an IT support setting, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support end-users effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both internal staff and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
