About the position:
The Cashier/Server will provide excellent customer service at the Elma Meadows Golf Course, Cazenovia Park Golf Course & Parkside Lodge concessions, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. Servers will take food and drink orders, serve meals and beverages, and address customer needs while maintaining a clean and organized service area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and with a friendly approach. Take food and drink orders, ensuring accuracy and providing menu recommendations when needed.
- Input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure kitchen staff are aware of special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner. Ensure that all items are served correctly and at the right temperature.
- Check in with customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Process payments through the POS system, provide guests with accurate checks, and complete cash, credit, or other payment methods accordingly.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, FOH staff, and management to ensure smooth service and a positive guest experience.
- Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and well-stocked. Perform cleaning duties as required, including wiping down tables and restocking supplies.
- Stay updated on menu items, specials, and any changes to ensure guests are provided with accurate information.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and cleanliness practices.
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Certifications:
- Food Worker Card, ServSafe Certification or equivalent required.
- TIPS certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
