YOUR NEW ROLE AS A RECREATION DIRECTOR
You'll enjoy a consistent Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM schedule, with occasional weekends for special events or activities.
As a Recreation Director, you will start by planning and organizing a variety of recreational, social, cultural, and religious events, ensuring that every resident has opportunities to engage and connect. You will create and distribute a monthly activities calendar, keeping everyone informed about upcoming programs. Throughout the day, you will oversee group and private transportation services, making sure residents can participate in outings and appointments safely. Your goal will be to exceed resident expectations while managing expenditures within budget, all while fostering a welcoming and lively atmosphere.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A RECREATION DIRECTOR
- Strong planning, organizing, and event execution skills
- Passion for working with the elderly
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate well and take feedback with a positive attitude
- Strong computer skills
- Creative, motivated, and driven mindset with a love for planning events, crafts, excursions, and celebrations
Experience in a senior living facility is preferred.
