What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underground Fiber Bury Techs / Crews position at Legacy Installations?
Legacy Installations is looking for experienced Drop Bury crews to perform work with Glo Fiber in the Lynchburg, VA, and Bedford, VA areas.
Competitive Pay:
Jobs are paid on a piece work rate and the rates are based on job type. A full-time contractor can average anywhere from $2000-$8000/wk based on the number of drops you can complete. This is volume work and the routing is consistently tight. Net-21 pay schedule.
Requirements:
- Experienced in Telecom Drop Bury work
- Drop Bury machine (Plow, Trencher, Vibrator)
- Ability to bore sidewalks and driveways
- Shovel, Hand digging tools
- Fiber prep tools
- Truck, Van, or SUV (no cars allowed)
- General Liability Insurance (1 mil / 2 mil aggregate)
- Workers Comp (equal to states statutory limit)
- Auto Policy (1 mil coverage)
- must be able to pass a background check
- must be able to pass a drug screening
Equipment Rental:
- We can provide a trailer, missile, compressor, and a small plow OR a Ditch Witch 255sx. Either option will be $300 weekly.
- Technicians must pass a quick test to prove they have operated the machine/ missile in the past and it is not the first time using it.
- The machine/trailer will stay at the local warehouse overnight, and you will pick it up in the morning and go to work.
- You must have a clean criminal background check AND a GPS location activated for as long as the machine/trailer is in their possession

Pay: $2,000.00 - $10,000.00 per week
