Job Summary
MEDSURG and Geriatric Experience Required at Legacy Living and Rehab Center.
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Support professional to join our team. As a MEDSURG and Geriatric experienced nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a long term care skilled nursing facility setting.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in Medsurg and Geriatrics, with a State of WY or compact nursing license required. BLS certification is also necessary. The successful candidate will work 12 hour shifts, with certified nurse aide support. You may be responsible for 20 residents, with a nurse to patient ratio of 20 if nursing and administering medications, and 45 if medication aides are present.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Providing wound care and management, including IV therapy, feeding tubes, and trach care
• Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Maintaining accurate medical records and reporting any changes in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare professionals
