What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager - Pediatrics position at Legacy Management Solutions, LLC?
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer the Practice Manager will be responsible for the daily management of a pediatrics practice that consists of 3 providers. Duties include directing and coordinating the overall clinical and business operations for the practice. The Practice Manager will also participate in the development and administration of policies for the clinical and business operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage day to day activities for practice.
- Coordinate directly with patients to schedule their appointments for all providers and staff.
- Work extensively in Athena One (EMR).
- Handle all elements of practice billing including submitting, posting, and appealing claims.
- Register patients for their appointments.
- Care for all patients appropriately according to their patient population meeting their physical, safety, and psychosocial needs.
- Have a clear understanding of insurance verification.
- Order vaccines and office supplies.
- Assist in obtaining required authorizations and referrals.
- Update the EMR to reflect insurance information for proper billing.
- Must be able to be at practice before 8:30 am, Monday β Friday.
- Supervise team of Front Desk staff and Medical Assistants.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of the principles of health care and service to special populations
- Ability to travel between worksites as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including friendliness, and empathy
- Strong leadership and communication skills required
- Extensive knowledge of current health care needs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with an electronic medical record and practice management system
- Experience provide leadership for a private medical practice
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Travel to practice in Mt Airy, Philadelphia.
- Bending, climbing stairs and getting in/out of vehicle
- Ability to stay standing or moving for prolonged periods of time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
