Lead Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to children in various settings, including outpatient clinics and telehealth services. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of pediatric health issues while collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, tube feeding, and cardiac catheterization as needed.
• Provide care for infectious diseases and monitor vital signs to ensure patient stability.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver care remotely when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records using ICD-9 coding for diagnoses.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP).
• Valid state nursing license with prescriptive authority.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with pediatric health issues.
• Skills in performing procedures such as venipuncture, tube feeding, and cardiac catheterization are desirable.
• Knowledge of telehealth practices is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.

Pay: $175,380.00 - $201,708.00 per year
