Position Overview
The Lead Catering Chef is responsible for overseeing all catering operations, ensuring high-quality culinary experiences, and driving profitability. You will lead menu development, manage events, build a team of culinary professionals, and collaborate with clients to create unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities
Innovation and Growth
- Develop new and profitable ways for Legacy Meat Co. to serve its community and deliver its mission.
- Grow demand for catered meals and value-added products in retail.
Event Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision and requirements.
- Plan and execute flawless events with a focus on grilling and live food preparation.
Menu Development
- Create innovative, diverse menus tailored to various events and dietary needs.
- Operate a weekly lunch special program for customer orders.
Team Leadership
o Build, manage, and inspire a team of chefs, servers, and support staff.
o Schedule and oversee staff training to ensure excellence in service and presentation.
Operational Management
o Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely deliveries.
o Oversee departmental budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to maintain profitability while delivering exceptional quality.
Quality and Client Relations
o Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency.
o Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
· Education and Experience:
o Associate’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.
o Proven experience in catering management, as a sous chef, or head chef.
· Skills and Abilities:
o Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
o Solid business acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance.
o Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
o Passion for food and an eye for detail.
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Other Requirements:
o Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
o Ability to work required hours, including nights and weekends.
o Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and compliance with MVR & DOT guidelines.
o Legal authorization to work in the United States.
