Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Nurse (MA/LPN/RN) to fill a unique family medical clinic position in and around Beaver Dam, WI. Significant flexibility around hours and locations, depending on availability. Looking for the right fit to join our fantastic & cooperative nursing team; typical hours M-F from 8:00 – 4:30; 0.6-1.0 FTE with no nights or weekends required.
Job Description
1 General Description: join our team as we deliver an innovative new model of direct primary care in Wisconsin. Our small offices provide high quality, personal & caring medical services to individuals and families from newborns to retirement. Nurses are a key member of the team as they serve a critical role in the patient experience – creating the first and last impressions for our patients. Working 1 on 1 with our physician and nurse practitioner, they assist with all aspects of patient interactions including initial enrollment, office visits, virtual visits, labs, follow-up and care management. Our low volume clinics average just 8-12 appointment/day and offer the unique opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with our patients.
2 Clinical Patient Care: communicating messages and refill requests to providers, obtaining clinical histories, rooming patients, taking vital signs, drawing bloodwork and performing in-office labs, administering medications and immunizations and assisting with office procedures.
3 Office Administration: answering the phone, documenting messages, enrolling and scheduling patients, faxing records, arranging follow-up appointments.
4 Additional Duties: maintaining a safe and clean office and exam rooms, inventory management, general office duties.
Qualifications
- Current licensure or certification as appropriate for degree (MA/LPN/RN)
- 2 years clinical experience preferred
- Able to pass standard background check and drug screening
- Professionalism with excellent patient interactions displaying competence, kindness and compassion
- Effective written and oral communication skills along with knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with multiple priorities
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively & professionally within a team
- Ability to prioritize work in an efficient manner
- Ability to recognize and respond to urgent needs in a timely manner
- Flexibility to adjust schedule/hours/locations as required by patient needs
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50# occasionally, with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 25#; ability to use a mouse and keyboard; ability to safely administer injections
