Job Summary :
The UCF Liaison and Concierge Coordinator is a professional who serves as an active point of contact between the University of Central Florida and Legacy Pointe at UCF. They facilitate communication and collaboration to uphold our companys mission while working directly with residents of Legacy Pointe to enhance engagement and connection with UCF. The position also manages the Concierge desks and team. This position anticipates the day-to-day needs of the Concierge desks / team and initiates fulfilling these needs. Duties and responsibilities will be completed while demonstrating behaviors that align with our Communitys Service Excellence philosophy and core values.Essential Job Functions : Communicates with UCF to regularly schedule onsite performances, lectures, studies, classes, research projects, volunteer opportunities, internships, etc. at Legacy Pointe
Communicates with UCF and researches the UCF website to regularly schedule offsite transportation to UCF events, performances, lectures, classes, research projects, etc.
Fosters and maintains intergenerational activities and experiences between UCF students and Legacy Pointe residents. This may include visiting UCF as needed
Fosters and maintains relationships with UCF partners including Rosen College of Hospitality
Utilizes creativity to construct UCF programming with input from the Lifestyles Director and the Lifestyles Committee
Assists the Lifestyles Director in planning UCF events at Legacy Pointe (Grand Knight event, UCF department retreats, UCF Foundation meeting)
Assists the residents in obtaining a UCF student ID and renews residents' sponsored accounts annually. Keeps an updated log of every resident and their UCF ID number.
Creates and maintains a UCF calendar of events monthly
Coordinates the effective usage of the UCF Shuttle Bus and creates / updates the UCF Shuttle Bus schedule every semester and as needed.
Updates Uniguest with UCF-related information
Assists with LIFE at UCF
Manages the Concierge team and desks
Works with Lead Concierge on Concierge schedule
Handles telephone and email inquiries and responds promptly and appropriately
Helps maintain file systems, both paper and electronic, including shared drive foldersPerform any other duties as required.Supervisory Responsibilities : Day -to-day functions of the concierge desks
Performance reviews of Concierge team
Coaching sessions as needed
Covering the Concierge desks as needed and for lunch breaks

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Management, Business Administration, Communication, Healthcare Management or a related field from UCF preferably
Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
Strong connection with the University of Central Florida. Must understand the inner workings of UCF campus activities and departments.
Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations, policies and protocols( CCRC and University)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization
Professional demeanor, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality when required
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applicationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Attention to Detail : Must be able to follow specific rules and schedules, as established by supervisor, based on resident needs
Interpersonal Skills : Ability to work in a polite, respectful, caring, calm, and compassionate way
Strong time management : Must demonstrate ability to organize self to ensure resident schedules are met accurately
Ability to Handle Confidential Information : Must be a trustworthy individual who can keep items confidential as appropriate
Language Ability :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Residents, Associates, families, vendors and other contacts of the organization.
Ability to read and write using English language. Must demonstrate excellent telephone communication skills

Computer Skills :
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
