Location: Hybrid – Howard County, MD (3 days in office)
Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 (Depending on Experience)
About the Role: Our client is rapidly expanding, and they are seeking a Revenue Accounting Analyst to join their growing finance team. This newly created position is key to ensuring the proper recognition of revenue from contracts, with a focus on ASC 606 and revenue recognition. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial analysis, accounting, and contract management, ideally with exposure to ASC 606.
You’ll play an essential role in supporting the finance team with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling while collaborating with both the Finance Manager and Director of Finance to drive revenue recognition processes. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with a strong team of finance professionals, including the Finance Manager, who will provide training and guidance on ASC 606.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the revenue recognition process, with an emphasis on ASC 606, to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition from contracts.
- Work closely with finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Act as a key partner in managing and analyzing contracts, ensuring proper setup for revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.
- Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making across various business units.
- Collaborate with both the Finance Manager and Director of Finance on key initiatives, including reporting and modeling.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or as a financial analyst with exposure to revenue recognition and ASC 606 (not required to be an expert).
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and experience working with contracts is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and a proactive problem solver.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
