About the Role: The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement scalable data pipelines and workflows to support the company’s data science and analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, data scientists, analysts, and IT, to identify and deliver data solutions that drive business value.
- Design, build, and maintain the organization’s data architecture, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Partner with technology teams and vendors to ensure data availability, quality, and security across the enterprise.
- Create and optimize data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Research and adopt emerging technologies and tools in data engineering to improve efficiency and enhance capabilities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data infrastructure, workflows, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with a strong focus on implementing and optimizing data pipelines.
- Proven expertise in big data technologies and cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala (or R).
- Experience with data modeling, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and integrating analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality standards, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies.
