Position Description
This position handles transporting and installing a variety of signs. In this role, you will have to ensure that the designs meet clients' specifications, prepare the signs for mounting, and manage the placement and installation of the signs, among other duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an Installer
· Review installation plans, diagrams, or instructions to understand the scope of work and ensure compliance with project requirements.
· Gather tools, equipment, and materials needed for installation, ensuring everything is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
· Safely transport installation materials and equipment to job sites using company vehicles or other appropriate means of transportation.
· Set up work areas and prepare surfaces for installation, including cleaning, leveling, and securing substrates as needed.
· Install products, equipment, or systems according to specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.
· Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble, fasten, or secure components, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
· Test installed products or systems to verify proper operation and performance, adjusting or troubleshooting issues as needed.
· Inspect completed installations for quality and accuracy, ensuring adherence to safety standards and customer specifications.
· Clean up work areas and remove debris, packaging materials, or leftover materials from installation sites, disposing of waste properly.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other team members to coordinate installation schedules, address questions or concerns, and provide updates on project status.
· Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
· Complete installation-related paperwork, including job reports, time sheets, and material usage logs, accurately and in a timely manner.
· Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in installation techniques and best practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Must have a valid driver's license.
· Crane Operator License
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Expert Welder
· Not afraid of heights
· Expert in using hand and power tools.
· Demonstrates awareness of all health and safety protocols.
· Must have the ability to lift 50lbs.
· Manages time efficiently.
· CDL Class A needed.
· Can multi-task effectively.
· Pay attention to the details.
· Possesses basic computer skills.
· Communicates clearly and effectively.
· Help keep the shop/warehouse neat & clean.
· Must be dependable, hardworking & punctual.
· Ability to work within a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
