Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Maintenance Clerk to support our distribution center in Franklin, IN. The Maintenance Clerk’s responsibilities include assisting the Maintenance Manager, administering the power equipment management program, overseeing maintenance information, generating computer reports, managing parts inventory records, and helping with vendor relations. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

• Monday through Friday - 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Starting pay $18.00 per hour

Job Details

What to expect as a Maintenance Clerk:

• Ensures operation of equipment by tracking preventative maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; and maintaining equipment inventories.
• Maintains supplies/parts inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Assists with power equipment training, file tracking and recertifications, tracks power equipment accidents for facility.
• Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
• Communicating with vendors regarding delays or problems.
• Responsible for being a backup for the employee responsible for tracking supplies and expensing P.O.’s
• Participates and contributes to company safety program; logs daily safety walks; tracks periodic building inspections; facilitates safety training for new hire orientation and assists maintaining MSDS.
• Abides by all OSHA rules and Legacy Supply Chain Services safety practices
• Answering calls and directing clients accordingly
• Ensure area housekeeping requirements are met
• Performs additional duties as directed

Qualifications:

• Required power industrial equipment, scanner, computers or other technology needed to perform the job
• One-year experience in office administration
• High School Degree or equivalent preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer skills and knowledge of data entry.
• Basic math skills
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Competent written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
