Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine job requirements.
- Measure, cut, and fit steel, aluminum, and other metal materials using hand and power tools.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment , including saws, torches, grinders, and press brakes.
- Perform layout, fitting, and assembly of components according to project specifications.
- Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques (as required for specific projects).
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and structural integrity .
- Work closely with engineers, welders, and production teams to ensure proper fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment , following company and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Identify and troubleshoot fitment issues , making necessary adjustments to ensure precision.
- Assist with final assembly and finishing tasks , such as grinding, sanding, and coating preparation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator, Fitter, or related metalworking role.
- Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and welding processes .
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders .
- Proficiency with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.).
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (certifications preferred).
- Skilled in using grinders, saws, torches, and other fabrication tools .
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment .
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is a plus.
