Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape metal materials using shears, saws, plasma cutters, and press brakes .
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication tools to assemble metal components.
- Fit and tack-weld parts before final welding to ensure proper alignment and quality.
- Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing on fabricated parts for a smooth, high-quality finish.
- Inspect fabricated components for accuracy, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications .
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify dimensions.
- Assist with machine operation, forming, and bending metal as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all OSHA and company safety regulations .
- Work closely with engineers, welders, and production teams to ensure project efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings .
- Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (certifications preferred).
- Experience with press brakes, CNC machines, saws, and grinders .
- Strong understanding of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and welding processes .
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment .
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is a plus.
