Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily machining operations to ensure production goals are met.
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC and manual machinists , providing technical guidance and training.
- Review work orders, blueprints, and CAD drawings to ensure correct setups and machining processes.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to maintain efficiency and deadlines .
- Oversee machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting for CNC mills, lathes, and other precision equipment .
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality control measures, and company policies .
- Conduct inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs .
- Communicate with management, engineers, and other departments to resolve production challenges .
- Maintain accurate documentation of production reports, machine maintenance, and employee performance .
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness .
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Foreman, Lead Machinist, or Supervisor in a precision machining environment .
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, manual machining, and metal fabrication .
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD designs .
- Experience with G-code programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting (preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor machinists .
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ISO, AS9100, or other quality management systems (a plus).
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment .
