Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom cabinets, furniture, and millwork according to detailed specifications and shop drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure precision craftsmanship.
- Operate and maintain woodworking tools and equipment, including table saws, routers, planers, and jointers.
- Assemble cabinet components using dowel, dado, biscuit, and mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques.
- Sand, finish, and prepare wood surfaces for painting, staining, or sealing.
- Ensure quality control by checking measurements, alignments, and finishes.
- Install cabinetry and millwork at client sites, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Work with hardwoods, laminates, veneers, and specialty materials to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker in a custom woodworking or cabinetry shop.
- Proficiency in woodworking tools, joinery techniques, and cabinet assembly.
- Strong understanding of wood properties, cutting methods, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD designs.
- Experience with custom millwork, high-end finishes, and specialty wood materials is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to lift [X] lbs and stand for extended periods.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for site installations.
