Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine job specifications.
- Operate fabrication machinery , including press brakes, shears, saws, and CNC plasma cutters .
- Cut, bend, and shape metal components using grinders, torches, and power tools .
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as needed to assemble and secure metal structures.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure all fabricated parts meet required tolerances.
- Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel in various thicknesses.
- Collaborate with engineers, welders, and machinists to complete fabrication projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area , following all OSHA safety regulations and company policies .
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator in industrial, structural, or custom metal manufacturing .
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and GD&T specifications .
- Experience operating metalworking equipment such as press brakes, shears, and CNC cutting systems .
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding is a plus.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Comfortable working with various metals and fabrication techniques .
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding certification (AWS, ASME, or similar) is a plus.
- Experience with CNC programming or automated fabrication systems .
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and metalworking best practices .
